My Calm Era

I am in my calm era. I say this because I only want to do the minimum. I only want to do things that bring me calmness and peace. I am no longer pushing myself to my limits. Instead, I’m respecting and listening to my body and mind.

After my surgery, 6 months ago, I couldn’t believe how much I couldn’t do. It’s insane to think, I’m still having pain from it. They say recovery can be up to a year, so I am being patient. Therefore, my workouts aren’t the same. I mainly do cardio, with a goal of burning 800 calories daily.

I have done more research on ways for my body to recover faster. Big surprise, food is the best medicine. So once again my diet has becoming more vegetables, fruits, and legumes. I have loved it though! I have learned more about the varieties of vegetables that are out there. Plus, they are delicious and so beautiful! It makes me excited to learn how to cook them and try them. It’s annoying  that school never taught me more about food and it healing benefits.

Anyways, my skin, nails, and overall body feels better because of it. My mental health has been better too. I’ve always been a pretty lone wolf with a few great friends. Overall, my life is been good. It just comes to show, I don’t always have to do a lot to be happy. Quality over quantity with some patience is key for all good things in life.
