A Goodbye Toast
It’s almost time for me to say goodbye to the place I’ve called home for about the past five years. To this place that has given me a chance to learn and grow. If anyone would have ever told me I’d be living in Ohio when I turned 23 years old. I’d say they were crazy!
Why would I ever leave my beautiful sunny Pacific Coast? Well , of course, it was school that brought me here. The nerd that I am. Plus, the chance to leave my family for a while sounded great and it was great but also very lonely and heartbreaking. I was scared plenty of times. It’s OK. I became even stronger and learned how to take care of myself even more. I learned what I needed and who I wanted to become.
Now too much time has passed and what I need more now is to be home, my true home. So here is a toast goodbye to the good and bad times I’ve lived through while in Cincinnati. I’m thankful for it all and honored to have met people I have. I will never regret coming here. Cincinnati will always have a place in my heart. Life always takes you where you need to be. This time it’s time to be home.
